Canadian Junior XCO Athlete Partners & Support

Junior (U19) racing is the crucial step before securing carding and team funding. To reach this level, riders, including Liam McFarlane, must travel to key races in Canada and abroad, achieve results, and accumulate UCI points. At this stage, there is nearly no national or provincial funding available, and typically a parent accompanies them. Events like this depend heavily on family support and community involvement, along with the right mountain biking equipment to succeed.

Liam McFarlane's second junior season kicks off in February with UCI Junior Series races in Puerto Rico and Fayetteville, followed by the Pan American Championships in Chile. After that, he will participate in Canada Cups, the Canadian Championships, and a Team Canada block in Europe, culminating in the World Championships. The complete schedule, including details on our 2027 cycling partners and the mountain biking equipment we aim to secure, can be found on the Schedule page. This ambitious season will exceed $70,000, and we cannot manage it alone while also supporting our family and running our business.
