All about me
I’m William “Liam” McFarlane, a passionate cyclist based in Collingwood, Ontario, and a proud member of the Stimulus Trek Racing Team. As an athlete, I specialize in Cross Country and Short Track Mountain Biking and Cyclocross, striving to achieve excellence both on and off the bike.
Alongside my cycling career, I maintain a strong commitment to academics through a hybrid learning program between Collingwood Collegiate Institute and Blyth Academy Online. I am dedicated to maintaining my honor roll status while balancing my education with my athletic pursuits.
I believe in giving back to the cycling community that has supported me throughout my journey. I actively volunteer as a coach for youth mountain bikers, collaborate with the Collingwood Off-Road Cycling Club on trail development and maintenance, and participate in local events to promote and grow the sport.

What Liam Has Been Working Toward
Liam is stepping into Junior (U19) racing in 2026. This is a level where competition, travel, and expectations increase significantly. Over the past two seasons, he has progressed steadily across mountain bike, cyclocross, and gravel, racing both nationally and internationally, confirming he is ready for this next step. His recent time racing and training in Europe reinforced both how far he has come and how much opportunity lies ahead.
